ER Embodied Release

ER is a holistic approach founded by Tiziana Longo, inspired by Peter Levine's Somatic Experiencing, David Berceli's Tension and Trauma Release Exercises (T.R.E.), and the nature of butoh along with dance and somatics. The term "ER" derives from the concept of "embodied release," emphasizing the act of letting go within the body. ER draws from these founders' principles, emphasizing the body as a vessel of memory and resilience, facilitating deep somatic exploration.

The ER course include:
  • Safety and Support: A nurturing environment for exploration.

  • Community Building: Fostering connections among participants.

  • Holistic Integration: Combining breathwork, movement, and mindfulness.

  • Accessibility: Welcoming all backgrounds and abilities.

  • Personal Empowerment: Encouraging self-discovery and resilience.

What is special on ER (Embodied Release)?

The ER course is vital because these elements create a transformative experience for personal and collective healing:

  • Encourages Butoh: Promotes unique self-expression through emotional dance.

  • Enhances Embodiment: Helps participants reconnect with their bodies.

  • Fosters Somatic Listening: Cultivates awareness of bodily sensations.

  • Celebrates Joy: Frames movement as a joyful expression.

  • Integrates Fun: Makes healing enjoyable and accessible.

  3. Breathwork: Utilizing conscious breathing for energy activation.

  4. Dynamic Alignment: Focusing on posture and movement efficiency.

  5. Gentle Mobilization: Engaging in part-by-part body movements.

  6. Mindfulness Practices: Cultivating present-moment awareness.

I came across Tiziana’s Embodied Release course about a year ago while looking for ways to regulate my nervous system. I have a lot of experience with talk therapy and work in the therapeutic field myself, but I wanted to explore something that would complement that work by engaging the body more directly.

Tiziana’s course was truly eye-opening for me. I often arrived carrying tension and a feeling of pressure in my chest, and each time I left with a deep sense of peace, calm, and inner balance.

The course also helped me grow as a dancer and supported me in developing a new relationship with my body and the way I move.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone who wants to reconnect with themselves, learn how to let go, and explore a mindful, body-based approach to self-regulation.
